Hvad er et materialepas?

The construction industry according to the UN, accounts for 28 percent of chemical consumption on a global level. Construction is In other words the world's largest end market for chemicals. To provide better insight into what the building materials which real estate developers purchase contains is now there one So called material passport on the road. The material passport will make it easier to choose environmentally friendly and recyclable materials.

Material passport currently included in one pioneering project in cooperation with Home.Earth.

Material passt must filled in by the manufacturer and can contain information about, among other things, the content of chemicals, degassing to the indoor climate, whether the building product can re-circulated during demolition or renovation. 

The material passport's parameters use European standards and is prepared for the European market. It can, among other things, make it easier for construction operators to collect validated data for four out of the six climate and environmental targets in the EU Taxonomy.

One of the central players behind the material passport is the architect Anna-Mette Monnelly. She will at the Property Fair give you the background to the Material Passport and how it will work in practice.

Anna-Mette Monnelly is an architect and graduated from the School of Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has also studied at MIT in Boston. After 7 years at NCC, the last 5 of which were as head of sustainability, she was sustainability director in NREP. Per 1 September 2023 joins Anna-Mette as a senior sustainability specialist at Søren Jensen Consulting Engineers.

She have Moreover taught sustainability and architecture on DIS in Copenhagen, and is active in committee work.

Anna-Mette Monnel lights work is founded in a deep interest and respect for the properties of materials, and that context, in which they are included in mechanical solutions, the interaction of buildings with context and impact on operation and maintenance For a number of years she has worked as a sustainability consultant at a major design studio in the USA with a focus on the implementation of sustainable solutions.
